This is just a very small post of a small discovery, Google Ad Planner the tool that helps bloggers and web site owners who use Google Adsense to plan for their ad placement for mazimum revenue, has infact put out a list of the 1000 most visited sites on the world.

It is not something that they do not have the right to publish, after all the most traffic to most of these sites is driven from Google itself. Google has never been phased on the web, they do not mind giving a list of the top websites in the world, even if it does not include them at the top; yes you read that right, Google is not the first, its actually Facebook. Well I guess most of us are not really surprised at that one.

You can see a list of the largest 1000 sites worldwide, based on Unique Visitors (users), as measured by Ad Planner. This list is updated monthly as new Ad Planner datasets are released. The list defines sites as top-level domains.

For each site on the list, you’ll be able to see:

• The site category
• Unique Visitors (users)
• Page Views
• Whether the site has ads

Keep in mind that the list excludes adult sites, ad networks, domains that don’t have publicly visible content or don’t load properly, and certain Google sites.
