When engineers have way too much time

First things first, here is a high five to all the engineers out there reading this, cos you guys know you are awesome. And the rest of the guys reading this, you guys are great too, just that being an engineer brings out some extra brotherhood among other engineers [ please note that brotherhood does not imply there are no women engineers, just that me saying sisterhood would have sounded very gay ! ;) ]. Hmm, now that THAT is out of the way, this post definitely was done out of sheer inspiration at the genius of two guys, who well have too much free time.

Engineers don’t really come off as the artistic kind, we guys usually come off more nerdy and dorky. But generally there is a side of us that is definitely artistic, all those of you laughing, please see the photo blogs of my engineer friends and maybe even mine, or if you are in Dubai you could take a drive or a walk down to the Burj Dubai (Khalifa) and look at the fountain playing out “Time to say Goodbye”, it is really beautiful. You could even look at the same song made by the same engineers who made the Dubai Fountain, working the fountain at the Belagio in Las Vegas; and that is awesome too.

Now there is a reason I picked the Fountains to talk about, because not only is todays post about engineers and art, but also about fountains. Well of a different kind. We all have heard or seen the awesome Mentos and Coke reaction, well these two guys also saw it and decided to take it to another crazier level, they made an entire musical show using only mentos and coke. But wait, there is more… but after the video.

The most extreme Mentos and Coke Experiment

Yes, that was just the effect of Mentos and Coke, well this is just the beginning, these two geniuses have more in store on their website, including instructions for how to try these yourself as well. But before I can give you the link to their site, I would like to add in their last awesome experiment, driving a vehicle using only Mentos and Coke, check out the video below. And then you can head off to their website.
